Back before sniper guns existed in fps games, before head shots were truly possible, before weapon accuracy was affected by rate of fire — There was quake. All weapons shot into the middle of the screen and there was only one true sniper weapon. The rail gun. Iconically leaving a vapor trail behind its projectile and scoring one hit kills on its target, all are reasons why the rail-gun makes my list.
